Loose Layers

Dress - H&M
Shirt - Blitz London
Necklace - Black Tied

I've been really undecided whether to post this outfit or not, sometimes I like it and then I don't. It was something I chucked on this week for college but I thought showing how I layered up a maxi might be useful for the Summer?  It was still fairly warm but there was more of chill in the air so I added some layers. This shirt it just my favourite it is so baggy and has a load of rips in but I like it, it has character and a past. I think that is kinda cool. The jacket as I've mentioned before it was my bargain £1 charity shop find. I wanted to keep the maxi dress casual as it is a little revealing on the chesticales, so the loose layers and converse were a winner. As for the necklace it is one of my favourites in my vast collection. I go through stages of just wearing the same jewellery on repeat, then I'll mix it up and wear that on repeat. That happened with this necklace, since wearing it with this outfit it has barely left my neck, I even slept in it as I was so shattered I forgot I had it on!

Knobbly Knees

Sunglasses - ASOS
Blazer - Monki (similar)
Trainers - Converse

It shall forever be beyond me how I've landed myself with a pair of 60 year old grandad knobbly knees but alas it is one of life's many mysteries. Despite my knobbly knees I cracked them out to enjoy the sun, they are feeling a little pasty at the moment and I felt they needed to see the light. Also excuse the scaring on my leg, it was from an unfortunate, clumsy accident last year with a kettle and some boiling hot water. All in all my legs are a mess but I'm embracing what I got. I've had this dress for... I want to say nearly a year and a half but I'm probably wrong. It is a lovely smock/sack style of dress, so despite exposing my legs I can hide away the rest of my self. I love the way the dress hangs and the lovely netting detail around the neck, it is simple but adds a little something, something. Because I didn't want to have my legs and arms out, it isn't quite that warm, I added my trusty oversized blazer. The blazer helped to add a little structure and shape to the outfit but to keep it casual I added my battered converse and my sunglasses. You can't see in these photos but these glasses have mirrored blue lenses which are just gorgeous and perfect to shimmer in the sun for Summer.

Boyfriend

Shirt - Blitz London
Jeans - Gap
Sunglasses - ASOS

Eeek sorry I've not been blogging as much lately, I've got myself a new job which is wonderful. However I'm currently working between my new job, my notice at my old job and college...and my sanity. It is a struggle but I'm pretty good at time management and I'm trying to just plan out my days as much as possible (Being Organised blog post). Anyway I'm still blissfully enjoying the sun we are having at the moment and these boyfriend jeans are great to pop on as they are looser so you don't get too hot. I paired them with my distressed ACDC band top I've had for ages now. I rolled up the jeans so I could add my Western style boots. By showing a bit of my leg the boots didn't make my legs look stumpy or short, well anymore than usual. To add a bit of a feminine touch to this boyfriend style outfit, I went for my chunky coin necklace, which I nabbed on eBay for a couple of pounds. I hope your all enjoying the sun and good luck to anyone preparing for exams or revising!

Summer Breeze

Jacket - Charity Shop
Trainers - Converse
Trousers - ASOS
Now I don't know about all of you but down in Somerset for the last few days the sun has been shining and it has been glorious! I chucked on these trousers as they are loose which stopped me getting too warm. I know right too warm?! Anyway I paired it with a simple vest top and this oversized denim jacket which I bought in a charity shop last year for, drum roll please... £1. It was the best bargain I have EVER bought and comes in handy so much, especially for warmer days. So yeah my Summer breezy outfit, it kept me a little more covered up but not too hot in the surprising sun. Hope you've all had a little sunshine wherever you are!

ASOS Wishlist

9. Minimal Jumpsuit 10. Trousers 11. Cross Back Bralet 12. Clutch Bag

With the slight improvement in weather and having just paid off my Glastonbury Festival ticket, I'm getting excited for the Summer and Festival season. ASOS is without a doubt one of my favourite brands, they have such a variety of clothing and brands to choose from. I'm also loving the ASOS stylists for inspiration (this isn't a sponsored post I just really like the brand). Anyway I don't know about you guys but I always have an ASOS 'saved items' list as long as my arm and I thought I'd share some of the items that I can't wait to get my hands on... if I suddenly win the lottery/marry a rich man (being a student sucks!). Let me know your favourites in the comments below!

Flares

Flares - Gap
Boots - ASOS
Hat - My dad's
I've finally done it and jumped on the 70's trend band wagon and nabbed myself a pair of flares. I'm not very tall and I have (as you can see) very curvy hips and thighs, I wasn't sure if flares were something I could pull off. However I chucked on my new suede boots to add height and to make my little legs look slightly longer. Also by wearing a cropped jumper it nipped me in at the waist again helping to flatter my hourglass shape. I kept this outfit fairly simple as I was off to work. I'm still not sure if flared jeans are something that flatter me. However I'm looking forward to styling them nevertheless!
