Wednesday Adams

Dress - Gap
Boots - Primark

Another mainly all black outfit today. I'm off to work again today and loving this new dress I bought for work. We have this kinda sporty luxe range and it is perfect for me to wear to work and feel comfortable in. With my black dress, boots and dark hair I do feel like Wednesday Adams and I was tempted to plait my hair for extra Adams vibes. I resisted though and this was the finally outcome, I feel like perhaps this would be her P.E kit. Anyway I'm now tucking into breakfast before a long shift bye!

Witchy

Jumper - Pull & Bear
Dress - H&M
Blazer - Monki
Boots - ASOS
Hat - My Dad's

It is quite Halloween yet but I'm feeling very Witchy in this all black, flowy ensemble. I love it though, this is one of my favourite outfits. However I do think it is a bit of Marmite outfit, you'll love it or hate it. I know all black isn't to everyone's taste but I'm not really one for much colour at the best of times. I just like wearing black, can you tell? Also excuse the bucket in the photos I forgot it was there after I did the ice bucket challenge yesterday, erghhh chills at the thought.

Monday

Shirt - Gap
Jeans - Topshop
Blazer - Monki
Scraf - Zara
Shoes -Nike
Firstly, my hair is darker, do I like it? I'm undecided. This was yesterday's outfit and the post was all written but before work and for most of the day the rain was just awful and I couldn't take the photos. It is just a quick post from yesterday's work outfit. I've been working rather a lot at the moment and worked the entire bank holiday weekend so here is a work outfit. I think a white shirt is a great piece to have in your wardrobe, it is super versatile. You can wear it unbuttoned for a more casual look, or if you add a necklace and wear it buttoned up and it is perfect for a formal outfit. I went for an in between by buttoning it up but tucking one side in, it is chic but still has a casual vibe to it.

90's Boyband

Jumper - Gap
Trousers - Pull & Bear
Shoes, Jacket & Bag - Primark

I have a bit of a love hate relationship with these trousers. I love them as they are white and I don't own anything like them. However I hate them as I feel like a member of a 90's boyband when I wear them or that I could join Mc Hammer's music video. But because they are white they will go with my mostly black wardrobe super easily, and for £7.99 I can't complain. I think once I get used to wearing them (they are a little out of my comfort zone) that I'll really love them. I bought this jumper to wear for work but I'm loving the dusty, icey blue colour. I think I'll be wearing this jumper loads for Winter as it makes me think of the cold and then being all snug. Can a jumper do that? I really like jumpers and Winter, I just love being cosy.

'how to not look an ill mess'

Blazer - Monki
Scarf - Zara (old)
Jumper - H&M (similar)
Jeans - GAP
Trainers - Nike (blazers)

I've been super poorly these last few days, if you follow me on twitter you'll have seen my constant moaning. I hate being ill, not that anyone enjoys it, but I hate having to be in bed doing nothing. By the end of the day, having been inside all day I get cabin fever and go a little crazy! Anyway I was having a meal at my friends house and I just need something cosy, warm and casual to wear. For some reason in an attempt to make myself look better I straightened my hair. I think I thought maybe the idea of putting in the effort would make it all ok, that and a shovel full of make up on my face. The scarf helped to prop up my heavy, exhausted generally disgusting head. It was like having a travel pillow, it was practical but stylish. The jumper is just a go to for me. I love a big, oversized, loose jumper to snug into whether it is just cold, I'm ill or for bed it is one of my favourite things. I just added my oversized blazer to try and make myself look a little more presentable. And there you have it my 'how to not look an ill mess' outfit. Now I need some lemsip, bye!

Wardrobe Staples

Ever look at your wardrobe and think 'I have nothing to wear?' Isn't it frustrating?!Well I thought I'd share my wardrobe key staple pieces to help you guys from feeling like that. I want to inspire you guys to have you own wardrobe essentials. Having your own go to, versatile items will allow you to always have an outfit you can put on and be good to go! This is always helpful if like me, you run late a lot and spend too much time in bed. I also find with the changing season trends and styles it can be expensive to constantly update your wardrobe. But by having a few wardrobe basics you can always keep them in your wardrobe and you have the base for an outfit. To update your wardrobe basics you can then simply add an on trend piece, like a floral kimono, and you’ve updated your basic to keep on trend. To see my full wardrobe staples post head over to Pretty Good Look.

Bohemian Style

Make up - MissFDMakeup

A few weeks ago I helped a friend style a photoshoot for her portfolio. It was a bohemian style theme and we had to incorporate a leather jacket into each outfit. It was such an awesome theme to style and to be a part of. I loved layering up the items and mixing my clothing with some of Flo's clothing and also the models.  I'd seen some of Flo's previous shoots and just thought that her photography style was beautiful and when she asked me to help I couldn't say no. It was terrifying as it isn't something I've ever done and although it was for the lovely Flo (and with the other lovely ladies) it was still scary as I wanted it to be how she imagined. You know when you have an idea planned out in your head but someone else thinks the complete opposite? Yeah I didn't want that, however I think we are all chuffed with the results. The photo's look incredible. I'm glad I did it as it was such a laugh and so was fun to play around with different outfits and accessories! I even learnt a little about make up, but I mainly asked stupid questions. Anyone it would be great to show your support and go like Flo Tippetts- Hill Photography  Facebook page and subscribe to MissFDMakeup Youtube channel.

Celebrations

Jumper - Zara (sale)
Jeans- DIY
Hat - My Dad's
Boots - Primark
Necklace - eBay

The sweet sigh of relief has washed over me as I received my results this morning. I've been studying textiles, graphics, media and film for the past year and finally the work has all paid off as I leave this year behind with two A's and two B's to continue with in September. It has definitely taken me longer than others to pass my first year of college but my persists and trials have paid off. Yay! This morning to celebrate me and my family went for breakfast at my favourite place The Coffee Den. What better way to celebrate than stuffing my face with pancakes! I'm now in somewhat of a food coma and trying to recover to continue the celebrations... with more food and coffee! I hope you all did well and if not it took me three years to get here, to complete my AS levels so don't stress! Everything happens for a reason and maybe you didn't do well as you didn't enjoy your subjects, whatever it is just think and do what is best for you and what makes you happy.
