Just another small post for you guys. This shirt I grabbed on my trip to London, see my blog post about that here Roaming Around, in this awesome vintage shop called Blitz. It was HUGE and had loads of choice but I loved this shirt, it has lots of holes in it but I feel it just gives it a bit more of a story and personality. I also can't get enough of these Topshop frilly socks, I have three pairs already but the collection will be growing!

On Friday me and my friend Ellie took a trip to London. We popped to Covent Garden, if you follow me on Instagram ( http://instagram.com/stepintomycloset7 ) then you'll know we had lunch at Five Guys. It was without a doubt the best burger I've ever had, it was delicious I would highly recommend you visit them! We then headed to Shoreditch and had a look round Brick Lane. Unfortunately the market wasn't on but we enjoyed just roaming around and getting a bit lost. It was lovely to just to look around and we really enjoyed the awesome graffiti, the elephant/ octopus was our particular favourite.

Brits 2014 Yay or Nay?

As it was the Brit awards last night I decided to take a look at some of the outfits from last night and 'yay' or 'nay' them. Basically like a hot or not for some of the outfits worn by the celebs last night at the Brits.

NAY
I'm really not a fan of this look at all. Jessie J's lipstick shade is much to pale and personally I just think doesn't look good at all. I can't deny her figure looks amazing in the jumpsuit but other than that I just don't think it does her many favours.

YAY
I love the metallic them it looks gorgeous. Fearne Cotton rocks this dress, it flatters her figure perfectly and I love the flare of the skirt of the dress. I think she looks elegant with a modern twist.

NAY
Massive bows? Oh no, again this dress flaunts Kylie Minogue's amazing figure but I just think the bows ruin this look. PVC is on trend and with this figure hugging dress looks fantastic but the over the top bows just over do it.
YAY
All the Haim girls look amazing. They are keeping classic, clean lines and fits that have been so popular on the catwalks for LFW. They have all chosen what flesh to bare and cover the rest. These three girls really looked fantastic.
YAY
The star of the red carpet for me was Pixie Lott. She looks absolutely flawless in this white DKNY dress. Again she use a simple cut dress and chooses what flesh to bare but still looks stunning. I love the white teamed with her black nail, eyeliner and gold earrings to just add something to the all white ensemble.

I'd love to know what looks you loved or hated and if you agree with my favourites. Let my know in the comments below or you can find me on twitter @Charlottie7890.

Necklaces; The adorned duoDixi and vintage.

Leggings - eBay
Oversize tee - ASOS
Shirt - Charity Shop
Leather jacket - Primark
Shoes - Converse

I apologise again for being a bit absent but I have been revising for an important test I took today, my driving theory test. I PASSED! I'm chuffed and feel a step closer to finally driving. It is something I put off for a while after turning 17 but finally I've got my ass into gear. To celebrate Alex took me for lunch at one of our favourite restaurants, La Terre in Glastonbury. We had a delicious burger with bacon, cheese and chilli. I wore quite a comfy and loose outfit today as I had a two hour driving lesson and my theory test and I wanted to be comfortable. Good luck to all fellow learner drivers, especially those taking their theory and practical tests!

Lazing on a sunny afternoon

Coat - Burberry (a gift!)
Shirt & Boots -Tesco
Jeans - Pieces

Today the sun came out, it was a miracle. Luckily to had this weekend off, it is probably the first weekend I've had off since October 2013. Which meant the sun was a great excuse to go for a day out. Me and Alex started the day by going for a huge breakfast. It was gorgeous, I'm not one for a full English breakfast or breakfast at all but we went at 11am so I was pretty hungry by this point. We then popped into Glastonbury to have a little look round and went into our favourite cafe The Blue Note, for a coffee. It was lovely to sit outside and I love Glastonbury everyone is so happy and friendly. We then went for a little drive around the country lanes. Alex has just bought a soft top car, which seemed ridiculous living in England and all however we drove we the roof down and it was surprisingly lovely. I had to wear his hat though to prevent my hair loosing control. I knew my friend was working and we popped to The Cross Keys in Lydford for a snack. We shared some cheesy chips which were great and dipped them in pesto mayo, which is the best dip ever! Hope you all had a lovely weekend too!

Windswept

Trousers - H&M
T-shirt - Primark
Jacket -  My friend's
Bag - Monki
Boots - eBay
Today the weather has been hideous, no surprise! I needed to wrap up warm as I've had lots of running around to do. I've been filming again for my coursework, I had college and I also had a driving lesson. I love these tartan trousers but they aren't quite the right fit, I could probably have sized down. However there is plenty of room thus plenty of comfort. My coat I swapped with my lovely friend Lisa, who's instagram is wonderful and you can check that out here...http://instagram.com/lisabirdyjean.
Hope you are all wrapped up in this hideous weather!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Work was quiet so I had a more stress free weekend than normal. On Saturday night me and Alex popped out for a bite to eat and a drink. This was the outfit I was wearing. I really love this top I picked up in the Topshop sale as I love stripes, they are just perfect. the-liebster-award

Hey guys I've been nominated for the Liebster award by the lovely Lucy Earnshaw from Lucy Loves. It isn't the first time I've been nominated and you can check that out here Liebster Award. Here is a little info on the Liebster Award and what it involves; write 11 random facts, answer 11 questions sent (by whoever nominated you), nominate 11 bloggers and create 11 questions (for my nominees to answer).

Here we go.
Random Facts:
1. I can lick my elbow. It is my party trick.

2. I adore cats, I always have they are my favourite animal. I just think they are lovely!
3. I have three middle names, my full name is Charlotte Nora Lucy Cherida Smith. You try having to spell that when you're infant school.
4. I'm lactose intolerant but like a few people I've meet I can still eat cheese but the liquid forms of lactose eg. cream, milk and yoghurt are a no go zone!
5. I love reading, books are great for escapism. One of my favourite books is The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.
6. I have two tattoos and hope to get more very soon!
7. In March me and my mum are going to watch Dirty Dancing on stage.
8. I own more silver rings than I have fingers for.
9. Some of my dad's family were Spanish and that is why I have olive skin. However I've never been to Spain.
10. I'm learning to drive.
11. I like the Buddhist religion as rough guidelines for how to live my life.

Lucy's questions:
1. Plain nails or nail art? Probably plain, purely because I'm too lazy and impatient to do nail art myself. Please I like to change my nails quite a lot so for ease plain nails.

2.10 high street bags or 1 Mulberry? Corrr that's a tough one, as much as I would adore a Mulberry bag and at one point in my life I will own one, however I do like variety. I think it has to be 10 high street bags.

3. Describe the best outfit you’ve ever worn. Oh another tough one. I like a variety of styles so I change my style from day to day. I'd have to choose two from the outfits I've blogged for my more grown up look stylish look the outfit below on the left ( Tartan Lover) and for a more grungey casual outfit below right (Lunch Date).

4. Favourite TV programme and why? Sherlock currently, I got really into it over Christmas watching the box sets with Alex. Firstly I like it because the acting is superb and I love the characters chemistry and secondly for the intellect. All the episodes story lines are so well thought out and I just really enjoy watching them.

5. Why did you start blogging? I have always had an interest in fashion and clothes from as far back as I can remember. I studied textiles at school and still at college and I love to write. To create my own fashion blog as an outlet for my inspiration just seemed like a good idea. I can't imagine not having a blog now, I love it and all my gorgeous readers! Plus I've always been an avid reader of other people's blogs.

6. If you could choose 1 thing from the argos catalogue for free, what would it be and why!? A full length mirror, because I smashed the one I own and it is being held together currently with cello tape. I like this Argos mirror.

7. If you had to pick 1 nail varnish to wear for a year what brand and shade would you choose? It would be Revlon Vixen, I wear a lot of dark coloured clothing and think it would go with most of the outfits I wear.

8. What would be your ideal date? Oh I'm not very good at thinking in a cute and romantic way. But I've always wanted to go to an outdoor cinema screening, I think that would be awesome. Or maybe surfing I've always wanted to learn to surf.

9. Do you have pets? What are their names!? You know I said I love cats well I have seven, I also have two dogs. Cats; Murphy (my baby, photo below), Joe, Harvey, Sophie, Tabby, Tess and Button. Dogs; Bella and Harrison.

10. How do you store your makeup? Not very well. I have my make up bag for all my everyday make up and the rest is shoved in a draw.

11.What's the view from where you blog? Some of my messy bedroom.

1. Jordane Yasmin from Bambi Legs

Paint Your Face

My first attempt on myself.

As you may know I've been doing my textiles coursework recently and I received an A grade for this work. However to just further myself I had to do a photoshoot of my final product from my brief. I've really been enjoying photography and developing my skills and styling for shoots so I've been looking forward to doing it for my textiles coursework. I've personally being looking at mark making and texture and in black and white media. I decided  to make a kimono and to print a bold textural print onto my fabric. I wanted this to continue through into my photoshoot and used Pinterest for inspiration, Pinterest is my right hand man (see my pinterest boards here...http://www.pinterest.com/stepinmycloset/). My inspiration for make up/paint came from Vivienne Westwood's SS14 catwalks. I used my lovely friend Ellie as my model and took my photos at Kilver Court were we both work. Hope you guys like my kimono and my photoshoot!
