Blues

Shorts - New Look
Jumper - GAP
Sandals - Primark
Sunglasses - eBay

This post contains a lot of blue as today I went to the beach today to enjoy the sunshine. However the clouds interprupted slightly but I still had a long swim in the sea and fish & chips, so I can't complain! I also managed to have dairy free milkshake which was awesome. I haven't had a milkshake in absolutely years, it was a pleasant surprise to my day. We walked around the harbour and seen all the boats, cute shops and colourful houses.

GNARLY

Hat - My dad's
Top - ASOS
Skirt - ASOS
Sandals - ASOS

Eeek sorry for not blogging yesterday, I had a pretty rubbish day yesterday. I failed my driving test for the second time, I'm not a bad driver but my nerves get the better of me. I made silly mistakes and because I suffer with anxiety my nerves just took control. It's pretty crappy as I know I can pass and drive but I just need to relax which is hard when you don't feel in control. Anyway, happier things, tomorrow is my brother's birthday and tonight we are going for a meal to celebrate.I wanted something I could wear all day but could also wear tonight. It's a weird day for weather as it is a bit cooler today but also the sun, when it pops out is boiling. Can you tell I love ASOS? These are pieces that I've had since last year, which is rare but they are some favourites of mine which have actually rarely been on the blog (except the sandals!). I'm having a lovely day currently listening to Otis Redding on my record player with my mum, have a nice day!

Among The Flowers

Jumper - H&M
Cuff - Camden Market
Necklace - Adorned
Shoes & socks - Primark

Today I'm just slobbing about before work this evening. So far today I've got out of bed and had lunch in the garden with my family, we had salmon risotto which was soooo delicious. I really like salmon and fish generally maybe more than meat, perhaps that is a little too controversial for a Friday. This jumper is such a loose and slouchy knit and perfect for layering over dresses and tops for warmer weather. I must admit though I dug it out my wardrobe this morning, does anyone else have at the bottom of their wardrobe fallen clothes that are long forgotten. Well I do and today I rediscovered this jumper, hoorah. I've started to get really frustrated with my photos, it is so difficult to find someone to take them and interesting backgrounds. I wish I had a little pocket sized photographer to carry around with me. Alas I don't I'm sorry guys I don't but I'm trying to work on it, not the pocket sized photographer but better photos.

Breakfast Club

Top & Jeans - Gap
Bag - Primark
Shoes - Tesco
Necklaces - Primark, A gift & Black Tied

Me and Alex decided to wake up a little early today and go for some breakfast at our favourite spot. He had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and I had the luxury granola (granola, greek yoghurt and fruit compote). It was a great start to the day before we both head off to work, hence my fully Gap attire. These jeans are so comfy and a great fit, they've made me take a break from my black skinny's which is unusual! Tesco have some great bargains and gorgeous pieces at the moment, these tile flats are perfect for being on your feet all day.

Checkmate

Jumper - H&M
Skirt, Bag & Shoes - Primark
Teeth Necklace - Black Tied

If you follow my blog you might recognise these Primark pieces from my Primark Picks post. I love the fit of this skirt and it is the second time I've worn it since buying it. Despite it's bold print because it is black and white it is really easy to put with items and doesn't push me too much out of my comfort zone. You'll also probably be familiar with my shoes too. They are the new love of my life and have been in nearly every post since they graced my feet. I've had a couple days off this week so I've been enjoying my free time and today I went for a wonder. I sometimes forget how beautiful some of the places are near where I live.

DIY Ripped Knees

We all have those jeans that we've had forever but are well on their way to jean heaven (or not maybe I'm just a hoarder). Mine are coming un-hemmed and ripped at the pocket, so I'm bringing them up to date before they finish their jean life. Topshop have released the ripped knee skinny jeans that everyone is lusting over so I thought I'd show you how to DIY them.
All you need is some jeans, pins or chalk, a cheese grater and scissors.
Just mark on your jeans where your knees sit in the jeans either with a pin or chalk.

Then just cut on this mark horizontally with your scissors.

To stop the cut being a blunt edge rub your grater along the cut line. This will create a more raw, distressed edge for that worn in trend. And that's it, a five minute job to update your jeans for this year.

Shoes, Bag & Tee - Primark
Bra - ASOS

I kept the outfit fairly simple but the layering of the criss cross bra under the semi sheer tee adds some cool detailing. There is also the ripped knee detailing and I just wanted a fairly plain versatile outfit to show you guys how to style your ripped knee jeans. Enjoy and please show me any DIY attempts on my instagram at @stepintomycloset7 or my twitter at @Stepinmycloset.

Thunderstruck

Top - Topshop
Blazer - Monki
Jeans - Gap
Shoes - Primark

Firstly I apologise for the bucking under the bench, I didn't realise it was there! I have had this ACDC ripped vest top for ages but this is it's first appearance on my blog. It is the perfect slouchy top to slob around in or the go to top for the Monday Blues. But as you can see it is easy to dress up with a smart blazer for a smart causal outfit. These £7 perfect shoes have barely left my feet, the poor fellas, they go with everything and are super comfy. I love the mock croc effect on them to add some texture to any OOTD. As for the jeans they are comfy, perfect fit and I love the rips. The weather is gross at the moment where I live, it is humid and raining on and off. This outfit is enough warmth and good to keep dry but not too hot for the humid air.
